Woman from Dalit colony injured in assault dies after a day
Bihar Lakhisarai. The body of a woman was recovered from her house on Tuesday afternoon in the Dalit colony behind the Kendriya Vidyalaya and police station building being built in Khagaur village of Kiul police station. After which the people nearby created an uproar and informed the police station.
The police of Kiul police station along with its forces recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. Police are interrogating the nearby people and the husband about the incident. Husband Suraj Mandal told that on Monday evening, three-four young men living in the neighborhood who were drinking alcohol, started abusing his wife Seema Kumari. When she protested, the three youths beat up the woman. Due to poverty, the woman had taken medicine from a nearby shop and went to sleep at home. The next morning my husband went out for work. When he reached home in the afternoon after work to have dinner, he was already dead. After which the people nearby left the house and ran away. After which suspicions began that the woman had been murdered. As soon as information about the incident was received, a crowd of villagers gathered on the river bank. Police Station Head Brajendra Kumar said that the woman’s body has been seized and sent for post-mortem. In the light of the husband’s application, a case will be registered and further action will be taken.
