The case is being told of Madhubani. Actually, Ram Prakash Paswan, a resident of Rajora village under Keoti police station of Darbhanga, had gone to Madhubani at his aunt’s place on 16 August. When they were returning, some Muslims of Ijra village in Madhubani caught hold of them accusing them of theft.
After this Paswan’s hands and feet were tied and he was severely beaten with sticks and sticks and kicks and punches. This Dalit man was beaten so much that his ribs, spine, waist and shoulder bones were broken. Even the beating has had a bad effect on his kidney. Ram Prakash has been admitted to the hospital in Darbhanga.
Ram Prakash Paswan’s son Abhishek Paswan alleges that his father Ram Prakash was beaten up by making false allegations and when he asked for water to drink, Muslims made him drink urine. Abhishek says that his father is on ventilator.
The copy of the FIR received by OpIndia states that Ram Prakash was beaten up throughout the night. When the family came to know in the morning, they reached to bring them. During that time he attacked the wife of the victim and broke her head.
The relatives say that the relatives were attacked with rods and pistols and were given caste-related abuses. He was told that if not give 20 lakh rupees, the victim’s hands and feet would be chopped off and thrown in the forest. After this, the relatives immediately collected 50 thousand rupees and gave it to the accused. After this they threatened to kill them if they went to the police station.
Ram Prakash’s daughter Pooja Kumari says that her father was involved in the work of religion, so he was the target of many people. Pooja said that a plan was made to beat up her father on the day of Muharram itself, but they could not succeed in it. After this, on the day of the incident, the accused stopped his father returning to Darbhanga by taking his name and locked him in the room and kept beating him all night.
It also came to light that the victim’s family complained to the police station, but SHO Inspector Sarwar Alam tried to suppress the matter. After the video of the incident went viral, the police, seeing their grit, spoke of action. The police of Benta police station reached the hospital and took the statement of the victim.
Darbhanga SDPO Krishnanandan Kumar has confirmed the incident. They say that the place of incident is Madhubani district. so in this case Darbhanga Police will extend all kind of cooperation in the investigation of Madhubani Police. the aggrieved party Identity of some accused is of. Among them, the names of seven people including Akram, Mohammad Raja, Mohammad Hazel have been told to the police.
Rajeev Prakash, leader of Bajrang Dal says that the village where this incident took place has a notorious PFI members live. They have done mob lynching. Giving a warning, Bajrang Dal said that if the victim does not get justice, then agitation will be organized at the country level.
