Dalit youth murdered for putting up a signboard in Babasaheb’s name in Rampur, UP

From PM Modi to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, even though they claim to be Dalit-friendly, atrocities on Dalits have continuously increased under their rule. People of Dalit community are becoming victims of atrocities of the administration along with the upper caste society.

Recently, a Dalit youth was killed in a clash over putting up a sign board in Babasaheb’s name in Milak area of Rampur district of Uttar Pradesh. The police is being accused of murdering the young man. After the incident, the police hastily killed the Dalit youth, which has increased the tension.

According to reports, Dalit community people had prepared a pit on a land in Silai Bada village of Milak police station area for making manure. A few days ago, they had filled the pit and put up a hoarding in the name of Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar and preparations for installing the statue had started. There was a dispute regarding this. In this case, Bhim Army chief and Azad Samaj Party president Chandrashekhar Azad met the family members of the victim. During this, Chandrashekhar fiercely attacked the UP government and police.
