Dalit woman killed in Hazaribag; BJP MLA takes dig at Jharkhand govt

Hazaribag, The brutal murder of a 45-year-old Dalit woman, Munia Devi, of village Kud, located in ward no-24 has shocked everyone. Muniya Devi’s husband Raju Ram is mentally weak. The body of the woman was found in a suspicious condition on Saturday morning sending shockwaves in the area. The relatives of the deceased woman have alleged murder after rape. The deceased is survived by two married sons and one unmarried daughter. Her husband’s mental condition is not good.
According to the relatives, the family members went to sleep after having food last night and when they woke up in the morning, the body of the woman was found in a suspicious condition in an open shed in front of the house. On the request of the family members, a three-member team of doctors conducted the post-mortem with videography in the presence of a magistrate. Dr. Ajay Bhengra, Dr. Amarendra Sinha and Dr. Chanchala Gupta were in the team. Katkamdag BDO Shalini Khalkho was also present with the team of doctors.
After the postmortem, the body was sent to the Ghat through an ambulance with the help of MLA Manish Jaiswal. On the request of the family members of the victim, on behalf of Jaiswal, his representatives Dinesh Singh Rathore and Ranjan Choudhary provided immediate financial assistance and assured cooperation in future also. Jaiswal expressed deep grief over this incident and termed this type of incident as a stigma for the society. MLA representative Dinesh Singh Rathore, who reached the hospital to cooperate with the victim’s family, took a dig at the present Jharkhand government and the district administration. He said that the government and the police administration have completely failed. He said theft, loot, incidents of murder and rape are increasing day by day in Hazaribagh. He urged the administration to catch the murderers of this case as soon as possible.
Police officials said woman has been murdered but they will wait for the postmortem report to know whether she was raped or not.
