TD Activists Attack YSRC Dalit Activist in Boppudi Southern States
Vijayawada: Telugu Desam activists forced a YSRC dalit activist strip his shirt, kneel before them and tender an apology for his sharing of posts against CM-designate Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh and Nara Bhuvneshwari on social media.
The sharing of such posts was allegedly done by Paleti rajakumar from Mangalagiri constituency during YSRC government’s term and the “retaliation” came now. The inhuman incident took place on Sunday night in Boppudi village.
The video grab of Rajakumar sobbing and mouthing his apologies in a half naked state turned viral on social media. He was seen kneeling before a TD flag with Nara Lokesh’s photo on it, and surrounded by TD thugs.
Condemning the attack on their party activist, the YSRC shared a post on X, “This is the situation in Andhra Pradesh! Heart-wrenching visuals from Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh. @JaiTDP leaders are targeting Dalits in the state who raise their voices against them.”
It added, “They are literally threatening the lives of Dalits, forcing them to apologize to @naralokesh publicly. Is this the development that you promised to bring in the state @ncbn @PawanKalyan @narendramodi?”
Based on a complaint lodged by the victim, the Chilakaluripet Rural police registered a case. A probe is under way to ascertain facts and arrest the accused.
