Agra: An FIR was registered against District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Dinesh Kumar under Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act here at Nai ki Mandi police station. Dinesh Kumar allegedly behaved inappropriately with Manoj Kumar, assistant teacher at Vimla Devi Inter College. Manoj filed a complaint, accusing the DIOS of abuse, foul language, and threats of termination of service. Earlier, another case was registered against the same DIOS at the same police station for alleged malpractices in appointment of teachers.
Manoj had submitted a petition in the court of Additional Sessions Judge/ Special Judge (SC/ST), leading to registration of the case on court orders. Manoj Kumar claimed that on Jan 10, 2024, around 7.15pm, he spoke to the DIOS on the phone regarding release of two months’ salary. During the conversation, Dinesh Kumar allegedly used abusive language and threatened to terminate his services.
Dinesh said, “The case against me is part of a larger conspiracy to frame me. The allegations are false. He is trying to exert pressure on me wrongly release the salary”. Deputy commissioner of police, Suraj Rai said, “Following court orders, an FIR was registered and the matter is being investigated.”
