Shivpuri of Madhya Pradesh: You must have often heard from the mouth of non-Dalits that where is untouchability now. We have neither done nor seen untouchability in our childhood. You must have seen and heard people making fun of the reservation related rights provided by the constitution to Dalits, Tribals and Backward class people. If discrimination, harassment and untouchability against Dalits did not persist even today, then why would Dalits be beaten for entering temples, drinking water from wells, or touching them in different states of the country. There were incidents like giving.

The case of Shivpuri

The recent incident is from Shivpuri of Madhya Pradesh where weapons were exchanged in a Dalit groom’s marriage. In fact, the Dalit family had also played DJ in their procession, which made the bullies unhappy. According to media reports, Ambe reached Vatika (marriage venue) along with the groom’s procession at around 11 pm.

Former Councilor Dilip Singh Yadav (Former Councilor Dilip Singh Yadav) living nearby felt bad playing the song on DJ and he attacked the people. Along with vandalizing the DJ, these people also pelted stones. Many baraatis were attacked with swords and sticks. Along with this, many women and men were beaten up and injured. The surprising thing is that even the stones were pelted on the procession from the roof of the houses.

By the way, the report of this whole matter was written in Karaira police station. A case has been registered against 3 named people including Attempt to Murder and other sections. Police say that the police have started investigation against former councilors Dilip Yadav, Ajay Yadav, Balwant Singh Yadav and their associates. But such incidents show that untouchability is still prevalent in the society and as long as Dalits have to bear all this. After all, till when the Dalit class cannot live its life as a normal citizen.
