Dalit youth’s Bindauri came out in a peaceful environment with police clampdown
The wedding procession of the Dalit groom took place in a peaceful atmosphere amidst police clampdown in Mehndwas police station area. During this period, many police officers remained deployed on the spot.
Police station in-charge Manvendra Singh said that the complainant Ranjeet Bairwa, son of Ramswaroop Bairwa, resident of Beelamata police station Mehndwas, had submitted a memorandum and expressed apprehension that for the last few years, an order has been issued by some people of Shravan caste in the village that no one from the Dalit community should be allowed to live in the village. When the family members requested to be taken out of the village on the procession horse, some people rejected the request of the family members. A memorandum was submitted on behalf of all of them.
When the matter came to light, when the police officers talked to the complainant and the villagers, they did not find any objection from the villagers on removing any kind of Bindori. Despite this, police officers and police remained present as a precautionary measure during the evacuation of Bindauri. The police also arrested some people. On this occasion, videography and photography was done with drone cameras. There was complete peace during Bindauri.
