Ambedkarnagar. A video of three youths surrounding a Dalit youth and beating him with hands and feet went viral on Saturday. The police took it seriously. Even when the victim did not come forward, on the instructions of the SP, Bewana police registered a case against three unknown people under sections of attempt to murder and Dalit oppression.

The video quickly went viral on social media on Saturday morning. It was found that the video in question is from Bewana police station area. The police first waited for the victim to arrive, but in the meantime, SP Dr. Kaustubh took cognizance of the video and directed that a case be registered immediately.

In the video that went viral, the three attackers are seen taking the victim out of the village. After this, he was beaten severely on a road between the fields. Many times he even apologized by touching his feet. Two youths also had country-made pistols in their hands, with which they threatened to shoot. In the video, a gun was also put to the head once. It seemed that the victim was going to be shot.

However, the gun was removed within a few seconds. After this, the young man was sent away, threatening not to harm his honour. On the basis of this video, the police have registered a case against the three unknown attackers. CO City Suresh Mishra said that a case has been registered and efforts are being made to identify the accused.
