Chhatarpur: An incident that shames humanity has come to light in the Civil Lines Police Station area of Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. A dhaba operator and his associates brutally beat their former employee with kicks, punches, and sticks in public. The accused themselves filmed this inhumane act and made it viral on social media. After the video went viral, the police swung into action and, based on the viral video, detained both accused and began questioning them.
The victim has been identified as Umesh Adivasi, a resident of Kupi village. Umesh works as a laborer on Satai Road. He previously worked at a dhaba near the Collector’s bungalow. He left his job about two months ago. Victim Umesh alleges that the dhaba owner, Satendra Singh Jantu Chauhan, was angry about this.
The viral video clearly shows two young men brutally beating Umesh with kicks and sticks, while a third man filmed the entire incident. During the beating, the victim repeatedly pleaded for mercy with folded hands, but the accused refused. The accused were heard abusing and saying, “Even the police can’t harm us.” When Umesh inquired about the reason for the beating, he was beaten even more severely.
Following the incident, victim Umesh filed a report against both accused at the Civil Lines police station. Civil Lines police station in-charge Satish Singh stated that two days ago, illegal liquor had been confiscated from the same dhaba, and the accused suspected that Umesh had informed the police. Based on this suspicion, Umesh was beaten.
The station in-charge also stated that the main accused, Satendra Singh Jantu Chauhan, has a criminal background and already has 23 cases registered against him. The victim, Umesh Adivasi, has appealed to the police and administration for protection and justice. This incident not only raises questions about law and order, but also demonstrates how fearlessly individuals with criminal tendencies openly carry out violence and publicize it.
