The two leaders made three demands, writing, “Prime Minister, you are aware of the theft of thousands of crores of rupees from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Millions of devotees who donated their hard-earned money with faith, devotion, and trust feel betrayed by this theft.
You announced the formation of the Trust in Parliament on the instructions of the Supreme Court of India, but its members were appointed entirely by your government. It is well known that the Trust’s members are associated with the RSS, VHP, and their affiliated organizations.
Its disgraced former General Secretary was also a close associate of yours. Your silence in the face of such a crime is unacceptable. It is your duty to establish accountability and ensure reparations. Please address this issue as soon as possible.”
Rahul and Kharge’s Three Demands
- We urge you to immediately order an independent and comprehensive investigation into the Trust’s financial affairs, including the management of all offerings, including cash, gold, and silver.
- The investigation results and the trust’s accounts should be made public so that every devotee knows how their offerings were used.
- Those found responsible should be held accountable, regardless of their position or influence.
