Lucknow: The UP Congress workers and leaders celebrated the 55th birthday of Rahul Gandhi with charitable works and exchanging sweets at the party units.
In Lucknow, AICC in charge for UP Avinash Pandey and state president Ajay Rai along with national secretary Rajesh Tiwari distributed fruits and food items to inmates of Adarsh Leprosy Ashram in Ashiana.
In Amethi, party workers went to local hospitals to distribute fruits.
Thereafter, the state-level leadership organised a cake-cutting ceremony, where they celebrated and prayed for Rahul’s wellbeing by exchanging sweets.
Akhilesh wishes Rahul on his birthday
Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday extended birthday greetings to Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.
“Heartfelt birthday greetings to Rahul Gandhi ji and best wishes for a harmonious, inclusive, and accommodating socio-political activism,” he said.
