NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday cancelled the bail granted to expelled JD(U) leader Anant Singh in the murder case of Dularchand Yadav and directed him to surrender before the authorities on or before December 1, 2026.

A bench of Justices MM Sundresh and PV Varale observed that the Patna high court had erred in granting bail to Singh without considering the nature of the offence and his criminal antecedents.

The Supreme Court suspended the high court’s order and cancelled the bail granted to Singh, directing him to surrender within the stipulated deadline.
