In Uttar Pradesh’s Khasgarhi village, Aligarh, a ruckus broke out when a Dalit’s baraat was being carried out. The baraat was passing in front of the village head’s husband’s house, but the bully head’s husband blocked the way. When the groom’s family and baraatis protested, the head’s husband and his sons beat them up. They clearly said that the baraat will not pass in front of their house. The situation reached to such an extent that the police had to be called. After this, the baraat passed in the presence of the police. In this regard, the police have started investigating the matter by registering a case against the Pradhan’s husband and his four sons under relevant sections. The groom’s family told the police that he belongs to a Dalit family. His wedding procession was going out on Monday evening. As soon as the wedding procession reached in front of the Pradhan’s husband Mukesh Gupta’s house, the Pradhan’s husband came with his sons and stopped the procession. When they protested, the accused beat them up.

In this incident, Rajendra son Shivram, Caesar son Bijendra, Sonu son Ramveer and Johnny, Neeraj and Vaibhav son Munshilal etc. baraatis were injured. During this incident, the accused also broke the windows of the vehicles involved in the procession. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and registered a case against the Pradhan’s husband on the basis of the complaint of the groom’s family. In view of the seriousness of the matter, a large number of police forces were sent from the district headquarters to the village and the procession was made to go ahead. Due to the presence of the police, Pradhan’s husband Mukesh Gupta kept standing there and watching, but this time he could not create any obstruction even if he wanted to.
