A person arrested in Taljhari police station died in police custody. Angry relatives and villagers blocked Sharmapur Maharajpur near Jhartola. The family accused the police of killing them by beating them up. He has done proper justice including action against the guilty police personnel. In this regard, the police say that he was arrested in the case of robbery in Honda showroom, whose health suddenly deteriorated during the course of interrogation. He died during treatment.
Last Sunday night, in the Honda showroom located at Jharnatola, the robbery personnel were locked in the room and looted Rs 2.75 thousand from the drawer, in which case Debu Turi, a resident of Jhartola of the police station area and Johan Hembram, a resident of Harinkol, were brought to the police station for interrogation. It was that suddenly on Thursday night, both Debu Turi were taken to the Community Health Center Taljhari when their health deteriorated, where Debu Turi was referred to Sahebganj Sadar Hospital by Dr. Nidhi Ikka and died on the way to Sahebganj.
Rajmahal MLA Anat Kumar Ojha demanded a high-level inquiry into the death of Dalit youth Debu Turi in police custody at Taljhari police station in Sahebganj district on the first day of the Jharkhand Assembly session. He has demanded an inquiry and action against the culprits.
