Rahul Gandhi to visit Patna on Feb 5

Patna: Congress neta Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Patna on Wednesday to attend the birth anniversary function of veteran freedom fighter Jaglal Choudhary.
This will be Rahul’s second visit to Bihar in less than a month.
“The leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will attend the birth anniversary of Jaglal Choudhary, at the Shri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna, on Feb 5,” Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) president Akhilesh Prasad Singh said here on Monday.
Rahul had last visited Patna on Jan 18 when he addressed a ‘Samvidhan Suraksha Sammelan’, followed by a meeting with party workers at the Sadaqat Ashram, the BPCC headquarters.
“A great follower of Mahatma Gandhi, Choudhary discontinued his fourth-year medical education at the Calcutta Medical College and joined the Non-Cooperation Movement in 1921 heeding to Gandhi’s call. He was one of the four cabinet ministers in the Shri Krishna Sinha-led interim govt in Bihar in 1937. One of Choudhary’s sons was shot dead by the British police during the Quit India movement,” the BPCC media department head Rajesh Rathorre said.
