India has now become the most populous country in the world, leaving China behind, but the total migration of millionaires from India is less than 30 percent of China. This claim has been made in the report of Henley & Partners on the migration of millionaires from the world.
The report also states that this year about 4300 millionaires can leave India. Most of them will settle in UAE. Last year, in the same report, it was claimed that 5100 Indian millionaires settled abroad.
According to the report, every year thousands of millionaires leave the country from India and many of them go to the United Arab Emirates. Concerns about out-migration may ease as wealth growth of 85 per cent over the past decade sees many more new millionaires being created each year than those leaving.
India, the world’s fastest-growing economy, is expected to rank third globally in millionaire migration after China and the UK.
