Looking for NGOs working with LGBTQI+ communities
People’s Ultimate League (PUL) is an independent grassroots initiative, supported by the Ultimate Players Association of India (UPAI) in alignment with its strategic pillar of inclusivity. The PUL is also backed by Women Win (womenwin.org), an organization that supports all girls and women, including those from minority and underrepresented communities such as black, indigenous, mestizas, people of colour, and LGBTQI+.
By Rasika Gopalakrishnan
PUL’s vision is to create a sporting league which introduces and invites participation from players who have traditionally been discouraged from sports. This includes and is not limited to transgender communities, non-binary and gender-fluid persons, cis-women, as well as others who fall under the LGBTQI+ spectrum.
UPAI is excited about the People’s Ultimate League – we believe that it is a great way to spread ultimate and its message of inclusivity. We are in the early stage of building a network of organisations to partner with as a part of the PUL initiative.
If you are part of or know of a non-profit, collective or NGO working with transgender people/communities in India, please fill out this form by 10-Dec-2020:
