Imprisonment: Six months’ imprisonment for the convict of Dalit oppression
In a case of Dalit harassment, the District Court on Tuesday convicted one of the accused and sentenced him to six months’ imprisonment.
This decision has been given by the court of Special Judge for Dalit Atrocities ADJ I Mo Gyasuddin. Special Public Prosecutor Chandramouli Prasad Yadav said that after hearing the arguments of both the sides, the court has given its decision.
The culprit is Gudar Yadav, a resident of Sarmaidan under Hathiawa OP of Sheikhpura district. The victim is also Mrigendra Kumar, son of Shrikant Ram of Khalaspur village of the same OP. Mr. Yadav told that on May 4, 2012, at around ten in the morning, the victim was asked to wrap the lace. Gudar Yadav had beaten up for which the victim Mrigendra could not contain it.
