Fighting for land grab: No action against the accused, Dalit family protesting

Accusing the police of not taking action in front of the Jalore collectorate, two families are sitting on a dharna demanding justice. One family is a Dalit family of Sangdwa of Chitalwana police station, while the other is a resident of Mirpura of Karda police station. The family of Sangdwa resident alleges that about 20 days ago, 19 accused attacked and thrashed the house built by them. Several family members received injuries. The family has been evicted from the house and captured.
Earlier, the police did not register the case in the police station. After that, after appearing before the SP to get the case registered, the case was registered but the police is not taking any action. Victim Varju Devi told that the Chitalwana police is threatening us. Both the families are sitting with the ongoing Shiv Sena dharna in front of the collectorate. Shiv Sena district chief Rupraj Purohit told that the protest will continue till the victims do not get justice.
Woman from Mirpura assaulted: Virma Devi, a resident of Mirpura under Karda police station, is also sitting on a dharna. The victim told that husband Kishnaram son Malaram, Malaram son Kaluram, Suki’s wife Kaluram, Palu’s wife Hemaram unanimously attacked while entering unauthorizedly. After the attack, the police have so far arrested only one accused, while the rest of the accused are roaming freely and threatening.
