Double-engine govt ‘ineffective’, Yadav defers to Delhi: Singhar

Jabalpur: Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar said chief minister Mohan Yadav, despite having a double-engine govt, is ineffective, and important decisions are made in Delhi. Yadav remains silent and looks towards Delhi, Singhar said this while interacting with media persons in Jabalpur on Wednesday.
He said RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat stated that the country gained independence after the establishment and construction of the Ram temple.
“We have faith in God. He forgot the freedom fighters and their families who fought for the country’s independence. I believe the BJP wants to create its own history, which is why they changed the curriculum. Freedom of expression is a constitutional right, but if a common person protests, cases are filed against them. People on hunger strikes lose their lives. PM Modi says his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ but does not address issues concerning farmers, soldiers, youth, unemployment, the country, and the state,” Singhar said.
Former union minister Arun Yadav said Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were fighting to protect and preserve the Constitution.
“As part of this effort, a nationwide rally is being organised at the birthplace of BR Ambedkar to save the Constitution. Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and other senior Congress leaders will participate in this rally. The responsibility to protect the Constitution lies with both the Congress and the public,” he said.
Katare Alleges 800 Spoon ‘Scam’
Deputy Leader of Opposition Hemant Katare on Wednesday alleged a major scam under the BJP rule, claiming that spoons worth Rs 30 were purchased for Rs 800 for anganwadi centres in Singrauli.
He alleged that in Singrauli, the women and child department purchased spoons, service spoons, and jugs for anganwadi centres. “In the market, a good spoon costs Rs 30, but for anganwadi centres, a spoon was purchased for over Rs 800. Similarly, jugs were bought for Rs 1,250 and service spoons for Rs 1,350,” Katare said in Jabalpur.
He also alleged that the truth about the appointment of former RTO constable Saurabh Sharma and former minister and BJP MLA Bhupendra Singh has come to light. “Bhupendra Singh said that if a single recommendation letter regarding Sharma’s appointment is shown, he would quit politics. I have made the documents public, and the timing is right. Now, the BJP MLA should retire from politics,” Katare said.
