A case of assault on a Dalit youth has come to light in Champapurwa of Gangaghat Kotwali area of Unnao. Victim Akash Pasi was returning home from Ganga Barrage on the evening of July 6. Santosh stopped his bike at the turn of Netua village.
Santosh abused him and when Akash protested, he along with his son Kunal attacked him. The accused hit him on the head with an iron rod. During this, his companion Ajit Nishad and another youth abused him with caste related language. The accused also threatened to kill the victim.
On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against the accused on July 10. Police is investigating the matter.
