Dalit student returning after taking examination was beaten up, case against five including Pradhan
The Dalit, returning after taking the examination, was badly beaten up and injured by the bullies of the village using abusive and casteist words. On the complaint of the brother of the injured, the police have registered a case of SCST Act and assault against five people including the village head. Police are raiding possible hideouts in search of the attackers.
Dharmendra, a resident of Guraitha village of Pakbara police station area, told the police in his Tahrir that the younger brother Vineet was returning from Moradabad after taking the examination. As soon as Vineet reached near Bhud on Guraitha Road of Pakbra, the village head Rajesh alias Rinku, Ajay, Rajiv, Sanjeev, Atul were already present. Seeing Vineet coming, the five youths including Pradhan beat them up badly. Used racist words. After this, he was badly injured by abusing and beating.
Nearby people rushed to the spot on the sound of Vineet’s screaming. Seeing the crowd of people coming, Dabang ran away threatening to kill them. The injured Vineet called and informed the family members about the matter. As soon as the information was received, the family members reached the police station with the injured Vineet. Police admitted the injured Vineet to the district hospital. On the complaint of the injured Vineet’s brother Dharmendra, a case has been registered against the village head Rajesh alias Rinku, Sanjeev, Atul, Ajay and Rajiv for SCST Act, assault and threatening to kill. Police is raiding the possible places to nab the accused.
