Dalit Farm Worker In MP Allegedly Beaten To Death Just For Not Sharing His Matchbox

In a shocker in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, a 50-year-old Dalit farm worker was allegedly killed after being badly beaten. The accused are Yash Yadav and Ankesh Yadav. It happened in Guna’s Karod village which is 180 km from Bhopal.
In a shocker in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, a 50-year-old Dalit farm worker was allegedly killed after being badly beaten. Why? Because he refused to share his matchbox with 2 men who wanted to light cigarettes. The accused are Yash Yadav and Ankesh Yadav. It happened in Guna’s Karod village which is 180 km from Bhopal.
The dead man’s name is Lalji Ram Ahirwar and he was beaten up after an argument broke out. They accused attacked him with sticks, said an NDTV report. He was taken to the hospital and died of his wounds.
“Yash Yadav and Ankesh Yadav attacked Lalji Ram Ahirwar with sticks for denying a matchbox. He got severely injured. He was admitted to Guna district hospital but died of his injuries,” said Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), TS Baghel.
Both the accused have been taken into police custody and are being charged with murder. Booked under SC/ST Atrocities Act The accused have also been booked under the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Atrocities Act.
