Jharkhand government has taken a big decision in favor of the transgender community. It has been decided to declare them as third gender and provide reservation in government jobs. Vandana Dadel said that the transgender community will now be given Rs 1000 as pension every month. A total of 35 decisions have been approved in the cabinet meeting. According to an important decision, the compensation given to personnel if they are injured in violence or accident has been increased. Now they will get assistance up to 7.5 lakhs. If personnel are injured or disabled in extremist violence during election work, this amount of compensation will be doubled. The cabinet has also decided to declare rabies, a disease caused by dog bites, as a notified disease. This decision has been taken with a view to reducing morbidity and mortality from the viral genetic disease under the National Rabies Control Programme.
