Allahabad High Court seeks reply from UP government in Dalit family murder
The counsel for the petitioner said four persons were killed in the incident. There is also an allegation of gang-rape of a girl during the incident.
The Allahabad High Court has sought a reply from the Uttar Pradesh government in the case of the murder of a Dalit family in Gohri village of Phaphamau in the district Prayagraj.
The order was given by a division bench of Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra and Justice Deepak Verma while hearing Lalchand’s petition.
The counsel for the petitioner contended that though the offence under Section 302 read with Section 376-D IPC occurred on November 25, 2021 and named police report was also lodged, but till date none of the accused has been arrested nor any action is being taken in the matter on account of collusion on the part of the Station House Officer.
The counsel for the petitioner said four persons were killed in the incident. There is also an allegation of gang-rape of a girl during the incident.
The Court has fixed the next date of hearing on January 18, 2022 and directed the Additional Government Advocate to obtain instructions in the matter, by the next date fixed.
