SC, ST, OBC convention organised at RS Pura

JAMMU, Nov 12: RS Pura unit of All India Confederation SC, ST, OBC Organisations  held one day convention today at village Chak Bala in tehsil RS Pura which was attended by a large number of   members of society.
State president of the Confederation, R K Kalsotra  was the chief guest on this occasion. The day long convention commenced with the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected Confederation unit of RS Pura which comprises of Darshan Lal Banmotra, president; Sunil Dutt, senior vice president; Bihari Lal Bhagat, Capt Fateh Chand, Rattan Lal Bhagat, Sub Maj Girdhari Lal and Mukhtiar Kalia (vice-presidents), RD Kaith as general secretary, Bihari Lal as organising secretary, Joginder Lal,  Krishan Lal as joint secretaries, Ashok Kumar publicity secretary and  Bawa Ram as finance secretary.
The convention was held to discuss and formulate the strategy for the upcoming `Parliament Gherao’ to be held at Ram Leela Ground, in New Delhi on  December 4, 2017 under the leadership of National chairman of  Confederation  Dr Udit Raj for pressurizing the Central Govt to fulfill the long pending demands like reservation in promotions, reservation in private sector, funding in SC/ST Component Plan and other long pending demands also.
Speaking on the occasion, RK Kalsotra exhorted upon the people to be united and show their strength at New Delhi. He discussed various pending demands of the Confederation regarding which a memorandum was submitted to the State Govt on November 6 when the Secretariat was opened in Jammu.
Kalsotra also congratulated the newly elected members of Confederation Unit RS Pura and impressed upon the office bearers to work with commitment and dedication. All the office bearers  including  Shashi Syal  coordinator Confederation  and general secretary,  Majdoor Dastakar Union spoke on the occasion and ensured to work harder for the Confederation.
